When seasons change, there are always some old clothes in the wardrobe that are in good condition but your don’t want to wear any more. Children grow quickly and some clothes can't be worn only a few times/ Though they may only be a little worn they can't be worn any more... What should we do with these old clothes?

Joseph in the story made a jacket out of the coat, made a vest out of the jacket, made a scarf of out of the vest, made necktie then a handkerchief... Are you surprised by the potential of the clothes? Joseph's "stingy" behavior shows great wisdom and inspiration for our own lives. It's easy to throw a dress away, but people who are passionate about life will try their best to reform the old things.

China has produced about 2000 tons of waste in textiles per year, which consumes a lot of resources, and discarding old clothes will cause great harm to the environment. Nowadays, most clothes are made of chemical fiber, polyester, acrylic fiber, cotton and hemp. Only cotton and hemp are biodegradable in the natural conditions. Chemical fiber, polyester, acrylic fiber and other components can not easily degrade, and can remain on the earth’s surface for thousands of years. This causes great harm to the environment.
Throwing old clothes into the garbage is the least green way to deal with waste. Let's follow Ms. Meng Meng to see how she reuses her old clothes.

Learning from Joseph and Ms. Meng Meng, let's think about it again. What are the other good ways to deal with old clothes?

* New clothes that have not been worn can be sold or donated.

* Old clothes in good condition can be donated to a recycling agency after cleaning.
* For damaged clothes that can't be worn, we can think creatively and have a reclamation ; or they can be cleaned and put into garbage classification and recycled.
* We can purchase clothes made out of natural materials such as cotton and linen as often as possible.

* The most important thing is we can focus on finding new ways to wear the good clothes we have rather than buying new clothes.

There are so many helpful tips in dealing with these clothes besides donation. They can be given new life to get maximum use. More use of old things is not only a treasure of resources, but also a kind thing to  do for human beings and the earth. Let's take action together, reuse our old things!
