Dear parents of all N, K1 & K2 Newton students,

From next week your students will commence swimming lessons at campus. Starting with gentle safety procedures and in-water routines before beginning the swim-curriculum.
 
This week, Class-teachers of N, K1 & K2 received training from our swim-coach and life-guard in how to assist both in and out of the water.

For your information:

- The school will provide slippers & soap.

- All children must prepare 1) a swimming costume 2) a towel 3) goggles 4) swimming cap and 5) a bag with name-tag to carry items 1 through 4.

- Do not prepare shampoo, all students must wear swimming caps in water and when showering. Teachers will help ensure that children's hair will not get wet. Washing hair/drying hair will take-away from the time spend in the water and we hope to utilize the time in the water to the utmost potential.
 
The first 2 times of swimming will focus on the routine of going to the pool and safety in water... We look forward to the beginning of a great swimming program.
