Newton Kindergartens has been working together with Biolan, Finland to
provide students with the best in ecological gardening and green
environment around our many campuses. Newton, Biolan and it's CEO Kaj
Paavola passionately believes in educating children to be more
responsible in terms of not just gardening but waste management as well,
which means we are mindful about the environmental footprint we leave
when we use paper, plastic and how we dispose of waste.
At Hui Xin campus we currently have 3 gardening areas with soil
substrates imported from Finland where children, when the season is
right, will prepare, sow and grow vegetables, flowers and fruits with
their teachers. The campus also features 2 composters for organic waste
that is used to teach our students about biological waste management.
