As soon as the notice of the school re-opening date was released, most of the parents had mixed feedback of hope and fear. They are happy that children could finally return to normal school life after a long holiday, yet worried that after this long holiday, their children have been used to life at home and staying with their parents forming a defendant bond. We believe we can help with some guidance to build a regular routine and prepare them to go back to school. Below are some tips for your reference. They are on the aspects of eating, daily routine, independent ability, mental preparation and habit formation. Let's work together!
Suggestion 1: restore good eating habits
Children's meals at home may be relatively irregular. So it may happen that children can not eat by themselves, they may be picky, refuse to eat, or even feel ill when they are in kindergarten. Parents are requested to help their children restore proper eating habits as soon as possible. Eat on a good schedule with less snacks and more independently.
Suggestion 2: restore a good schedule
During this period of time, has your child's regular routine broken? Do they take naps as usual? Parents are requested to adjust the children’s time of sleeping by creating a good sleep environment and making good preparations before going to bed, so as to form the good sleeping habits.

Suggestion 3: restore independent ability
At home, parents may help their children to do a lot of things, that may reduce their independence and self-care ability. Parents should let their children do more things independently, so that they will not feel unadapted when they are back to kindergarten.
Suggestion 4: positive mental guidance
Parents can talk with their children about the school re-opening, let them know that the epidemic is coming to an end. Inform them that parents are also going back to work, and they can go to kindergarten as before and see their friends. Parents are suggested to talk about the positive side of going to kindergarten, so that children will have nice expectations for returning to kindergarten.
Suggestion 5: maintain good habits
During this period, both the health curriculum we posted online and the guidance from parents are strengthening the cultivation of children's personal protection and health habits. Although the epidemic is coming to an end, the good habits of washing hands, wearing masks, having a good routine, exercising, reading, knowing environmental protection and loving nature still need to be maintained.
While children are prepared to go back to kindergarten, the teachers are also preparing for school the re-opening and are expecting to welcome you back in the best condition. We believe that with the joint efforts of the families and us, the children will return to school easily and happily. We look forward to seeing you again at campus in the beautiful April!
