The annual Children's Day is the grandest festival for children. In previous years, there were always wonderful performances from parents who gave their blessings to their children. The precious moments were deeply embedded in the children's memory every year. This year due to the epidemic, parents couldn’t perform and enjoy their time with their children on campus. However, with careful planning and preparation, Newton children had a special and wonderful time in this year’s Children’s Day. 

|01A pleasant surprise when children arrive to the school 

Today children can choose to wear their favorite clothes to kindergarten. In the morning the Chinese and foreign teachers of "Children’s Day Performing Tour" came to the campus early, dressed up to be the children's favorite cartoon characters. They warmly welcomed Newton children at the gate to gave them the initial pleasant surprise, from which the wonderful Children’s Day began.    

|02. Special and wonderful showtime           
After breakfast Newton children had a great time interacting with the "Children’s Day Performing Tour ". The four performing teams dressed up in different costumes and performed in different classes in turn. Classic and interesting cartoon clips are displayed for children with dance and scene performances, which brought a pleasant surprise and created a happy interaction with children.  

The mermaid with her friends bring the story of The Ocean to the children. The children followed the ocean animal friends to dance and feel the joy brought by interesting ocean animal friends.  

Beautiful and colorful unicorns with sweet smiles and lovely dances appeared in the classes. The children play games with the unicorns, clap and beat rhythm together, twist with music and they enjoy the fairy tales. 

Another scene displayed was the beautiful Snow White and the little dwarfs meeting each other and then they sing and dance happily together. Various wonderful interactions make the children immersed in the wonder of fairy tales. We can see children enjoy the great time from their smiling faces.

03 Special Gifts
On this special day, the preparation of gifts has played an important role in the activity. Under Newton’s philosophy of "saving resources and reusing", we customized meaningful gifts for the children - wooden tableware and environmental protection bags.
In the process of "bag painting", children excitedly drew their favorite patterns on the bag, and all the bags were made up of children’s love and interest.
Teachers put the green tableware into the bag drawn by the children themselves. Some children choose to give the bags to their friends as gifts and pass the blessing on to them. Children enjoyed meaningful happiness from this activity. It is also hoped that it can remind children to bring their own tableware when eating out in this special period.

04 Lunch Time
In addition to the teacher’s performing tour which brought children a happy time, the kitchen staff prepared delicious and nutritious food which included spaghetti and pineapple fried rice, steak and chicken wings, and mixed vegetables. Children were able to choose the food according to their preferences! Yummy! In the festival atmosphere, children enjoyed the delicious food. We hope that it can be the happy memory in their childhood!

05 Precious Photo
At Newton, we celebrate children's day every year, and it has left different memories. This year it’s even different from the past. After a long holiday, it’s so lucky to spend this day with children who have just returned to campus. The special separation makes us cherish every little time we have been together. We try our best to keep this time happy, and let the camera record and freeze this beautiful and precious moment.
 

   

Children's day 2020 ends with love in a full sense of ceremony. This is from all the  staff’s hard work, and teachers’ efforts who wear costume.

Let's say it again, "Happy Children's Day, my dear children!".
