Great job today everyone on your efforts and support at our Pre-Nursery and Nursery sports day event~!
This year the theme of the activity was World Olympic Games. The school was decorated with flags and international fanfare that brought a brightness to the campus. Each classroom was assigned a different country that they were to represent.
The countries were UK, USA, South Africa, China, Korea, and Canada. Parents joined the classes dressed in coordinated colors to show their country pride. Classrooms marched to country themed songs while parents cheered them on. After enjoying the morning exercise together the games began! Each game was unique from countries all around the world.
For example we played cornhole from USA, and a slingshot game from South Africa. At each game students could get a stamp in their Newton passport to show where they had been. After the classes enjoyed four games they were rewarded with a Newton Sports Day medal.
We were so happy to see great participation, athleticism and fun! Thank you all for your hard work!
