Children dressed in vibrant traditional costumes strolled into a "transformed" campus, holding hands with parents and grandparents. With eyes full of wonder and hearts brimming with anticipation, they turned the familiar school grounds into a lively festival filled with laughter and the aroma of festive treats.
As the lion dance drums echoed, the spirit of the New Year truly arrived. Families wandered through the campus, pausing to savor delicacies or join in games. In this gentle rhythm of exploration, tradition blended seamlessly into everyday life, and the essence of the "Lunar New Year" quietly unfolded.
A Grand Reunion of Thousands
This year’s celebration was exceptionally vibrant. Beyond our current families, we were honored to welcome back our alumni and the families of our dedicated staff. With nearly 2,000 visitors throughout the day, the campus was bustling yet orderly—a flowing portrait of collective joy and effortless grace.
Flavors of Home, Stories of Heart
Long queues formed at the food stalls, where tradition met creativity. Alongside classic snacks and Newton’s homemade delicacies, this year featured a special highlight: Asian-flavored stalls hosted by K2 K3 parents. The rising steam carried more than just the scent of food; it carried stories and sincere intentions. These flavors will surely become the sweet, tangible memories of childhood for our students.
Joy in Togetherness
The game rooms were filled with teamwork, as children and parents tackled challenges like curling, cone flipping, and ring tosses. From clay molding and masterpiece cosplay to family portraits and hair braiding, every corner was alive with busy, happy faces.
"Fancy some 'fuzzy' Oden?" teased our teachers, playfully moonlighting as sweet potato street vendors. Nearby, families snapped photos with Prince Charming and Cinderella, or bumped into the "Girl with a Pearl Earring" and her artist—another brilliant collaboration by Ms. Daisy and Mr. Luke.
In the craft area, children and teachers worked together to create traditional horse-themed art, welcoming the Year of the Horse through creative collaboration. Meanwhile, on the stage, the "The Arena of Mastery" was in full swing, with our "Masters of Balance" and "Masters of the Five Senses" competing amidst cheers and applause.
“It’s So Good to See You”: Alumni Homecoming
A special highlight this year was our inaugural Alumni Homecoming. Following our invitation, over a hundred alumni families returned to the place where it all began. The campus remained the same, though the little shadows had grown much taller. At that moment, time seemed to fold—reminding us that the preschool days were only like "just yesterday." We’ve made a pact: See you all again in 2027!
Charity: Giving Meaning to Joy
The magic of this Charity Drive lies in the kindness we co-created:
* The heartwarming greetings and support brought back by our alumni;
* The "Lucky Bags" thoughtfully curated by our Pre-K and K1 parents;
* The warmth shared through the food stalls by our K2 K3 parents;
* And the sincere contributions from countless children, parents, and staff at the donation boxes.
Together, we raised a total of 119340.80 RMB.
By popular vote from our parents, the funds will be distributed among four charitable projects—Tang Mama (29%),Snow Lotus (28%), Animal Protection (25%), and Let the Migratory Birds Fly (18%).
