PK: Rolling Fun
As music played, the children followed the teacher’s rhythm, using instruments and props in a musical game. They felt the festive beat through cheerful melodies. Meanwhile, in another activity area, the teacher led the children in a physical version of "Rolling Yuanxiao ." Colorful "Giant Yuanxiao" rolled down a slope, with the children chasing after them. As the slope got steeper, the rolls got faster and finally the laughter got louder!
K1: Shaking & Sharing
Yuanxiao-shaking race begins! Teams shake the “Yuanxiao” into baskets below. —who'll be the first to drop theirs? Little cheerleaders cheered them on, tiny hands shaking eagerly, all hoping to land their Yuanxiao into the "bowl" as quickly as possible. In the next playroom: kids scoop "Yuanxiao" crawl through tunnels, stepping over hurdles, and carefully delivering them to "Grandpa" and "Grandma." The atmosphere was filled with both fun and warmth.
K2:Drum & Match
The drumbeat thundered as the children formed lion dance teams, moving forward and backward in sync with the rhythm. With a wave of the embroidered ball prop, the "little lions" playfully chased after the lead, helping traditional customs take root in the children’s hearts. The "Lantern Matching" game was equally lively, with children sitting in pairs, flipping cards, and finding matches, testing their observation and memory skills.
K3: Ponies & Lights
The "Galloping Pony" relay race was in full swing. Divided into teams, the children used fans to blow their little ponies forward; the faster the ponies, the better the teamwork. In the classroom, the teacher guided the children in exploring how to make lanterns light up. A simple circuit experiment introduced the wonders of science, and the moment the bulbs lit up, every little face beamed with surprise and pride.
Though the Lantern Festival has passed, the spirit of spring lingers on. May the joy and togetherness of this celebration accompany the children as they embark on a beautiful new journey in the year ahead.
